Internet Governance Forum Paris 2018 / 12-14 November 2018
The thirteenth Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will be hosted by the Government of France at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris from 12 to 14 November 2018.
For the first time since the creation of the IGF, France hosts this forum organized annually by the United Nations.
The Forum, under the theme of an “Internet of Trust”, will discuss proposed regulatory frameworks, global trends, potential risks, and good and bad practices which have been adopted or are under discussion.
The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, should be present at the Forum, which is one of a series of major international events in Paris focusing on digital technology, along with the Paris Peace Forum (11 November) and the GovTech Summit (12 November).
The Internet Governance Forum is an opportunity for France to promote a French and European perspective on digital technology
